3 Months

Our sweet June is 3 months old!

It's amazing how much personality and spunk this little lady has.

Favorite past times include sucking her fists and clenching them together in front of her.

She loves to suck on her upper lip.

As well as drool (and drool, and drool, and then drool some more.)

And did you notice her bedhead in the above picture?

It gets us every time.

(bahaha)

She's started to roll over and loves to talk up a storm, especially in the morning.

But most of all, she loves her mommy and daddy.

And we sure do love her back.

7 months

Our first baby is due in October. We're so excited to become parents, and 3 months to go still seems like forever away! I made Tim get out the camera tonight and snap a few shots because here's the thing:

I really like hot dogs.

...And chocolate. And meatball sandwiches. And chocolate cake donuts. (And it may be dangerous for me to continue to list delicious foods because I might just scrap this blog post and go hang out in the kitchen for the next hour instead).

Pregnancy has made me want to eat ALL THE THINGS! and I feel a bit like a marshmallow in a microwave set on high. So I'm a little soft around the edges, whatever. But before I become one big mallow, I thought we'd try for a few maternity shots.

We're goons. And we love each other. And we sure can't wait to meet this little girl.

We're going where??

I finished up the school year teaching at the end of May, and Tim was on a plane a few days later to drive me out to L.A. where we planned to spend the rest of the summer while he finished up his internship. That's what we had planned anyway.

Instead, we took a slight two week detour. Tim's boss called him up two days before he flew out to pick me up and asked him to run a grassroots campaign in Honolulu and relocate for a few weeks.
Honolulu? Sure. Okay (!!!!)

So, we made the trek from Utah to L.A. on a Friday, and hopped on a plane to Honolulu on Sunday. Tim loved the work there, and I had a lot of fun exploring during the day. We had a great time!

This was the beach right next to our hotel.

It was a 5 minute walk to this everyday.

This is ended up on my phone because I was looking into the sun while trying to take a picture of the beach - I don't make a habit of photographing strangers...
But take away the quaint sunhat, beach chair, and skinny physique and put in her place a sunburned, pregnant lady, lopped on a $2 beach mat next door, and voila!
We're practically the same person!

Dinner at The Hard Rock Cafe, courtesy of Tim's boss.
Forget the serene beaches surrounding us - this may have been Tim's favorite part of the trip.

Tim is on the phone with his boss talking over some logistics of the campaign.
And then, there was a chicken.
And I like that.

One of the interns Tim worked with had previously worked at the Polynesian Center a few years back.
We spent an afternoon there for free!

This guy.

We stopped here on both our visits to the North side of the island because, hello. Pie.

Tim is reading signs informing us of our impending death before our morning hike to Manoa Falls.

As I recall, the only things threatening our lives were the mosquitoes and my pregnant bladder.

Cute little whippersnapper, ain't he?

Sunday morning leaving the hotel, i.e. picture of shame.

Honolulu temple.

And the huge trees on the temple grounds!

Snorkeling on the North Shore

Hottie-pa-tottie on the beach!

Our last night on the beach.

P.S. I'm 5 months pregnant in these pics. Needless to say, I was extra buoyant in the water during this trip.

L.A.-Vaca-Getaway (see what I did there?)

Whelp,

We’re moving to L.A. this summer!

My stud of a husband is graduating in August and finishing off his BYU undergrad career with an internship working for the largest, private P.R. firm in the world.  All living expenses are paid for, and it’s a paid internship. (Did I mention my husband is a stud?)

And we were given the news at just the right time, too.  It brought a little relief to the disappointment we felt at Thanksgiving--a week after one door was closed, another opened up wide, welcoming the anticipation of a bright summer.  And bright it will be indeed because I don’t have to work for the entire summer!  I love teaching, but summer is my much needed vacation time.  Once June comes, it’s quittin’ time—my salary will still be rolling in through the summer months and I can enjoy the summer sun while we both still get paid.  Feels good.
