Sometimes Tim wakes up in the morning looking like the devil.
Sometimes we make good decisions. Sometimes we make bad decisions.
Letting our dog sleep in our bed?
Bad.
Definitely bad.
And then we remember why we let her sleep in our bed in the first place.

That dog loved to cuddle.
Sometimes our sweet mother-in-law sends our dog a holiday sweater.
Then, sometimes that dog will hang her head in shame when she wears it.

We played a few extra games of fetch that week to make up for it.
Sometimes your car skids on ice and gets stuck in a gutter, and within 10 minutes,
there are ten passerbys gathered around ready to help.
Sometimes you find it necessary to read books like the one below to your 2nd grade class.
And sometimes you teach kids like this, and that first grey hair you find makes total sense.
Sometimes your 2nd graders make you laugh.
Sometimes your second graders make you cry.

(especially the week after the last day of school when you're reading through the large stack of love notes from your kiddos, and it finally hits you that the year is over, and your kiddos are gone).
Sometimes we take a trip to Toronto for my sister-in-law's wedding.

And sometimes we are photogenic. (But maybe not this time).
Sometimes Tim hates waiting in long lines at the airport, and has to stuff his ticket in his mouth to keep from letting the airlines staff (and the cute family passengers around us) know it.
Sometimes we go to baseball games.
(and LOVE it)!
Sometimes we like to go up in the canyon for picnics and hiking--and building tall fires.
Sometimes I plant a garden of flowers outside my door :)
And sometimes my husband plans an amazing birthday for his wife by...
cooking me breakfast.
(complete with flowers)
and driving me up into the mountains for some hiking and swimming.
And after lunch at the farmers market and a stop at seven peaks, drives me to Price, UT for a
demolition derby!
We love watching cars getting destroyed!
But mostly we loved watching the people in the stadiums at Price, Ut.
And sometimes I have to give props to Tim.
He filled my day with all my favorite things, and ended it with even more:
We raced back from Price for a full moon ride on the ski lifts at Sundance.
And the next morning I woke up to presents and Lemon Bundt Cake
with raspberry glaze.
What a stud.

On what mountain did you hike and swim? Because holy cow, gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWe went to Strawberry Reservoir! I had actually never been, but it's practically in our backyard. I would definitely recommend a trip on a hot summer day for some cliff jumping!
